The Broker — The Short Version

 

 

TabTrade.com opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

 

 

His background is relevant. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

 

 

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

 

 

Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that range is solid.

 

 

Platforms

 

 

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

 

 

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.

 

 

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

 

 

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That will round things out once it is live.

 

 

Accounts and Pricing

 

 

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

 

 

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

 

 

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

 

 

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.

 

 

Infrastructure

 

 

The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

 

 

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

 

 

Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

 

 

Safety

 

 

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

 

 

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of your decision.

 

 

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
